Product Manager - Connectivity Platform

We believe that the way people interact with their finances will drastically improve in the next few years. We’re dedicated to empowering this transformation by building the tools and experiences that thousands of developers use to create their own products. Plaid powers the tools millions of people rely on to live a healthier financial life. We work with thousands of companies like Venmo, SoFi, several of the Fortune 500, and many of the largest banks to make it easy for people to connect their financial accounts to the apps and services they want to use. Plaid’s network covers 12,000 financial institutions across the US, Canada, UK and Europe. Founded in 2013, the company is headquartered in San Francisco with offices in New York, Seattle, Washington D.C., Raleigh, London, and Amsterdam. About the Team Our Connectivity team owns how Plaid connects to the financial system. We bring banks, credit unions, and other data partners onto the Plaid network and build the integrations every Plaid product runs on. AI is changing how that work gets done. We now build integrations with no human in the loop and are teaching them to fix themselves when they break, which lets us go further: reaching data beyond banks, making the data more complete, and working with partners on letting people and their agents act on their accounts, not just share data. You'll work as a true peer to our best engineers and make the hard calls with them. This role is for someone with rare technical depth who likes building things that don't exist yet. Responsibilities Drive discovery to identify, validate, and prioritize platform updates or new services, considering against product team roadmaps, reliability challenges, and data quality Define and own the overall Connectivity platform roadmap and strategy with the engineering lead, covering our integration automation platform, migration orchestration platform, and data quality initiatives. You can speak concretely about what made these initiatives succeed or fail (adoption, metrics, iteration). Deep technical fluency: You can hold your own with our best engineers on how large systems are designed, evaluating trade-offs, limitations, and business value. You’re intimately familiar with APIs, reading architectures, and developing technical prototypes with the help of AI assistants. Leadership, stakeholder influence, and communication :You should be comfortable working cross-functionally (engineering, data, product) and influencing without direct authority. You must be able to explain complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders, drive alignment, and make trade-offs crystal clear with concise and simple written and verbal communication.
